What An Awesome Fucking Show!

He only played 4 dates in North America this year and The Woodlands was lucky enough to be booked for his last show here this past Sunday. I've always been a huge fan of The Pink and knew this was probably going to be the closest I would ever get to a live show of their music.

The backdrop of the stage was an HD Jumbotron screen that had to be at least 100'x20'. All through the concert it bombarded the senses with visuals perfectly matched to what we were experiencing musically. The entire first half of the show was a note perfect greatest hits experience. There were fire works, lasers, surround sound. I saw a pig fly. Hearing 20,000 people sing the entire "Wish You Were Here" in unison.....

The last hour was dedicated to the entire Dark Side Of The Moon. Once again it was note perfect. The laser system transformed into a triangle and it recreated the cover to the album as the last song played. Rainbow and all.

Then an encore of some more greatest hits. Once again - hearing 20,000 people yell in unison - Hey Teacher! Leave Those Kids Alone!

I can honestly say that this is hands down the best concert I have ever been to. Showmanship is so missing from bands who have become complacent just standing in front of a microphone and singing their hits. This was truly an experience.

Wow, sounds like it was a great show. I have been deprived of the great bands of the 60's and 70's. I guess thats what I get for being born in '83 lol

Sounds like a really good time.

I dont know the first thing Roger Waters, but I bought the soundtrack from the Departed and it has "Comfortably Numb" with Roger Waters and Van Morrison...it kicks ass. They used the song on one of the final episodes of the Sopranos.

Yes I was referring to Pink Floyd. Roger Waters played Bass in the original and founding line-up. Some woud say (me included) he was the Architect of the Floyd sound everyone still enjoys today.

I saw his Radio Chaos tour about 20 years ago and it was by far the best production I have ever seen. Roger knows how to pease the crowd.

Yes, Roger Waters in concert is always a good show. I saw Pink Floyd in 1994 up at BC place. One of the best concerts I have ever seen.

If you like Pink Floyd songs, then find a tribute band by the name of "The Machine". They do a really good job of redoing the Pink Floyd songs. I have seen them 3 times and all 3 times the show has been different and very well worth the money for the tickets. Not quite the visual experience of an actual Pink Floyd concert, but if you like the music, then you will be happy. I know The Machine does a concert here in Norfolk every March around my B-day.
