| Kenny I did this to one of my off road trucks.. loud as hell in the cab.
i would opt to get a rubber carper from a XL truck to retain some sound deadning

| | I'd have to side with rubber mat over spray in liner material. If you use this as a daily driver, forget it. | |

| I plan on taking out my carpet and installing an XL rubber floor mat. That way you can still have the insulation underneath, and maybe some extra fatmat or something. Especially since I have a diesel.
So unless its a trail jeep, I would say no.

| thanks all... going to avoid doing this... is funny how i come up with ideas though...
Its because my windshield is leaking..... fixing that tonight, so the carpet gets wet on passenger side front, so I wanted to make it water resistant AND fix the windshield, but maybe its better to fix the problem (leak) and just dry the carpet LOL

| I'm just curious why you want people to post videos of them going down the road both before and after carpet removal... | |

| | Could you put down lizard skin or a roll on sound deadener. Then get a light textured rhino lining? | |

| | I dunno. That XL vinyl floor is pretty darn durable and easy to clean/shine up. Tough to beat, in my opinion. | |

| I am going to avoid this for now, but one day I think they will make something that will kill road noise, then I can put textured liner over that.
I sort of wanted to go for a rustic look, more aggressive and abuseable
carpet seems too much like a "house"

| Thats why you do the XL rubber mat. I think someone even suggested to me that I try and install it over the carpet for extra insulation, and if I ever changed my mind the carpet would be there. Not sure if that would work, but its an interesting idea...

| I only found a way on that site to buy them for jeeps.. do they sell them for other vehicles?
I would bet spraying my carpet wouldnt be too expensive, depending on how thick they do it..

great site.... Will consider this as well... pretty cheap considering.....
Maybe rhino line then put vynal mat?
was concerned about noise and a buddy of mine mentioned the heat (i assume from the outside air plus the exhaust - its a pretty good point)

| I've actually seen someone rhino line their carpet before. It's pretty neat lookin and easy as hell to clean. It's pretty think when it's done so it makes it pretty quiet in the cab.
The main thing is that if you do want it truly quiet, you need to line the doors, both the inner and outer skin, the firewall, both sides, and the roof. Everything has to be done or sound will still come through. It's not cheap either.
