Marvel's Iron Man took a new Super Hero off the pages of the comic book and onto the silver screen.

When wealthy industrialist Tony Stark sees his "Stark Industries", weapons of war in the wrong hands killing innocent people, he decides to take payback into his own hands.

Jeff Bridges, who manages Tony's deceased father's business tries to sway his efforts.

This was the first time Marvel Enterprises took the Helm in the total funding of its own project right through to financing, completion bonds and the works.

And it seems to have paid off with the film joining only 10 films to ever make 100 million dollars in its first weekend not to mention an additional 97 million dollars overseas. Now "Iron Man" is already well on the way to becoming one of the year's biggest blockbusters.

The CGI rivals Transformers as some of the finest you'll ever experience.

Robert Downey Jr. in the lead roll brings a new charm and charisma to the man of Iron. His comedic antics also create some additional dimension to the Character.

Virginia "pepper" Potts, (Gwyneth Paltrow) missing from the pages of the comic books has also been added to the mix as Tony Starks faithful assistant combined as distant romantic counterpart. She is more stunning than ever.

Jeff Bridges, Terrence Howard, Sayed Badreya, and Faran Tahir round out the starring cast.

Actor/Writer/Director Jon Favreau (Elf, Zathura) directed the film showing he can stand up to the best in his field.

Shot all in California including scenes depicting Iraq proves you don't have to go out of the state on distant locations for a top grossing film. Parts of it were even shot in my little city of Santa Clarita.

You can be sure there will be more of these to come anytime you see a film which joins the top 10 grossers the first week.

My daughter and I were some of the first to stand in line opening day. Well worth the wait. I've been wanting to see it ever since the first teaser trailers started showing up on the internet.

Great movie. A perfect blend of humor, action and drama.

Deserves all of the accolades it is recieving.

And I don't know Jon Favreau personally, But I have enjoyed him since first seeing him in Swingers and this couldn't happen to a better guy in my opinion.

I enjoyed it thoroughly. Did you stay after the ridiculously long credits to see Samuel L jacksons appearance? something about a league of heros. I dont follow the comics.

Nick Fury Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. It's a reference to the new Avengers movie that Marvel is doing for like '09 or '10 release.

Wow, a popcorn movie that gets good reviews? This I gotta see.

I'll be reviewing Speed Racer for my dad's radio show, I'm interested in seeing how Greez's review compares with mine.

I was angry at how short Ironman was until I looked at my watch and realized it was over 2 hours.

Iron man rocked what a fantastic movie. And i am not a fan of Gweneth but DAM was she HOT in this movie. She looked fantastic as a redhead and I do not like redheads.

Oh and I cannot wait until the Incredible Hulk comes out.

I agree Iron man rocked ive already seen it twice. Robert Downey Jr. Did a great job in this. One of my all time favorite movies.

Richard, the trailer for hulk does look really cool. Didnt they do the hulk a few years ago? This one looks better though

I remember a hulk movie before also. Wasn't very good from the few scenes I saw.

I took the video off. The movie distributor is making youtube remove them. It was a cellphone capture of the ending of Ironman. You had to stay past the credits to see it.

Do a google search for "Ironman end video" and you might find a good link.

Yes there was a HULK movie a couple years back but this is a new one wiht all new people playing the parts.
