As some may know and other may not, my area in Kansas City was hit with an F2 tornado last week and let me tell you what it is bad. My neighbor's house is a vacant lot like it was 2 years ago. As for my home, it will be a tent for awhile with tarps on top and windows boarded up until I can make repairs. I never thought I would get the chance to experience anything such as what I did Wednesday night in Kansas City and I wet the bed folks!

I heard the sirens go off, heard the wind, then it got real calm. I knew something was gonna happen and then the train came, I have never in my life felt anything such as the pressure of the storm and wind. I watch my tree in the front yard blow over and touch the driveway, it stood upright and I have no clue where it went.

I thank god no one was killed in my subdivision, there is litter everywhere and swingsets and fences scattered like toys. I am safe, and okay. The insurance company was slow to respond at first, but now that is has been given an F2 and declared a state of emergency area, there is people everywhere. I volunteered Sunday in another town close to home where the older folks have no one and they trees and litter as well and it felt good to do it. I just wonder is anyone will do the same in my area. At one point I had a feeling the pressure on my house was going to rip from the foundation and lift it right off.

Glad to see you and your family are ok. I know it is a sicking feeling to watch everything you work so hard for just disappear. I know hurricanes and twister are completely different but both are life changing experiance.

I had a neighbor make this and post it. I cried when I watched it, you never think something like this can happen to you.

Wow that video was sobering. The power of nature is awesome and I know the terror you went through as I too had a tornado hit my home.

YES IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA A TORNADO LANDED IN MY BACK YARD!

It took out an 85 foot pine tree with a 7 foot diameter trunk. It twisted it right off at 5 feet above ground level and slammed it into my pool and back house.

I heard the train in the middle of the night just as you did and I knew what it was but couldn't believe it.

It destroyed the entire pool and a new one had to be built from ground up with all the plumbing decking around it. My back house was hit by the tree and 15 percent of it was gone.

It was 9,000 dollars just to cut up what was left of the tree, laying on the ground, and haul it away. Total damage was just under 200,000 Dollars.

Im very happy to know you survived the ordeal and I know you will never forget the sound and terror that went through you heart.

Be well my friend.

Glad to here you and yours are ok. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and everybody effected. Thats mighty kind of you to put the older folks ahead of yourself. Lord knows they could use the help. I can't imagine what it would be like if my parents or grandparents were in that kind of situation. Old people are the coolest. God Bless. Keep us updated.
