Haven't seen the need for it in quite a while.

I'm with Dev. Haven't needed a file sharing service for a long time.

What is it that you are trying to share?

A good resource for music/porn or what ever is Newsgroups. Sure you have to look for it, but I find it safer than filesharing.

Oh you.....

Eh well it just seems there's a lot of junk/virus type crap on Limewire from people...but I spose that would be any where.

^^^ Thanks. I thought you may have actually downloaded something that crashed your computer

I'm still going to stay with Limewire. It is still one of the better P2P networks out there and I'm using a pretty good virus blocker/scanner.

Your not going to be 100% safe on any P2P...there is always going to be someone putting crap out....just need to be smart about what you download and check the files before you run them especially if your a Windows user.

I've been having the best luck with utorrent and a few choice torrent sites ever since comcast started blocking emule. To be safe I virus scan everything and have a firewall running that requires permission for any system changes.

and now my mp3 collection is bigger than it was when I had 2 harddrives crash at once.. dont know if a virus took them out or what.. one was only mp3 and the other only had music videos.. oh and I also lost some other hardware within the week.. but the mainharddrive was still fine..

Im gonna buy an external harddrive just for my collection.. and share it with some friends who also have large collections.. organizing them is the hard part..

I hate when people make a torrent and have 001, 002, 003 before the songs.. gotta sit there for hours and rename/cut that part off.. before I merge it with the rest of the songs..

Id like to set something up in my truck eventually, so I can play mp3s off the external.. just sit there and pic and choose by artist..
so I can ask people/girls whose their favorite artist and then hopefully have a few songs theyd like to listen to..

I've been using uTorrent for a while. I'm pleased with it for the most part. Although, finding music from less known artists is more difficult than on Limewire. (ie. Texas Country) That, and it's downright impossible to download Just a song. You always have to download the entire album, or discography even if you just want that one hit wonder's hit song.

1st you got to torrentz.com to do the search and then pick one of the sites you want to download from..

also, if they have the full album and you only want one song.. just hit the unselect button when you have a view of the album.. and then select just the song or songs you want.. I do that sometimes..
