| Mort yep it has the Leather and it is Very nice. Man is this truck quiet compared to mine.
Jason no he did not he was at work all day whihc is why i did it for him. He doesnt ave much free time since he atatcndes college full time and works full time.
Ordered a Bedriug for him this morning and then went and placed his order for a Snuglid SL wiht power lift.
Originally was going to order a Gaylord but after I went in and started looking at the construction of it and how thin it was made I had to call him and tell him not to buy the Gaylord. Then they quoted me a Price again on the Gaylord which was about 500.00 more than the Snuglid equipped the same I chose the Snuglid SL for him.
The Gaylord was made very thin on the side and I could bend the fiberglass sides with my fingers. Not possible on the Snuglid. Not only that but the Gaylord was 863.00 Plus 559.00 for the mounting hardware then another 800 for the power open. The Snuglid came to 1700 with the power option installed and tax by far a superior value overall.

| | If you could get a shot of it standing up, that would be cool. You said that you noticed it was much more durable and you usually can't tell as well when its already on the truck. Not a big deal if you don't remember your camera. | |

| | What do you mean by standing up? Like on it's edge? If so I do not plan on letting them stand it on it end as that would damage the finish. | |

| Kristen in my opinion you cannot beat the Snuglid. I have had one on my truck for 12 years and would not change a thing. The Snuglid is very reasonably priced. Especially when compared to the Gaylord he had planned on getting and the Snutglid is built way, way better. It still boggles my mind that Gaylord doesn't sell their lids with the hardware to mount them and that it is a 500 Option. It's like what the hell am I suppose to do with a lid i have no way of mounting. | |

| I used to sell truck accessories, and I've gotta tell you, there isn't a better lid than the Snuglid. We didn't deal with Gaylords, but I saw one on a truck and assumed it to be of good quality (especially with their longevity in the industry). But Richard's testimony has convinced me otherwise.
But yeah, the Snuglid, while a bit more expensive than other lids, is really worth the money.

| damn good looking truck! My brother just stopped by with his new one...'08 black SCrew with the 6.5' bed, he just picked it up this afternoon. He is already planning on a 6" lift with 35's on 20" black rockstars for this summer.
Good choice with the snuglid, I went with the gaylirds x2000 speedstur and I'm not impressed...I love the style, but not quality. The paint all around the bottom edge is chipping off, I just replaced the lock because water got into it over the winter and froze up, and I broke the key off inside it ($50 for a new one), it seems about an inch too long for the bed, and it doesn't seal up too well (had a bed full of snow after a very windy and snowy day, which cause a lot of my tools to rust up), and even when new, the lock was very hard to turn....it did come with a keyless entry, but I never wired it up.

| Actaully the Snuglid ended up being cheaper.
Gaylord wanted 863.00 for the Cover then 550.00 for the hardware so you can insatll it on a ttruck, then another 800.00 for the power lift option that the kid wants for a total of 2213.00.
The Snuglid SL is 900 plus 800 for the Power lift for a total of 1700 and since the place we purchased it from has not installed one with the power lift yet they are giving us the install free.
Yeah like i said though the Gaylord did not impress me one bit when i saw it in person. Just flat out flimsy. And it was the X200 we were looking at. I like it's styling also. But after touching it I was like HELL NO! |
