Another lumber score for me. Perusing Craigslist is really paying off.

This is almost 250 bf of hard maple!

And, TinT, notice the bed extender AND a red flag!



All stacked and stickered in the back yard.



I took three of the shorter boards inside to inspect further. I took a few swipes on one of the boards with a hand plane, just to see what I had. Can't wait to see what the rest of this board looks like when I run it through the planer.

My Wife has decided that this maple would be well suited to building some baby room furniture for my daughter. I have already started on a cradle for my first grand child. Just waiting for my daughter to let me know that the cradle will be needed soon.

Oh yeah. I bookmatched the pieces so they mirrored eachother. What a pain in the ass to make those things. Probably one of the things I miss most from that truck.
