I have a 1995 Tahoe, the heater gets stuck on a setting and will not change! Sometimes it works but most of the time lately it will not work. I cannot change the fan, heat or select where the air blows out.I am thinking it is the heater unit it self?I need some help!!I am trying to save a few $$ instead of taking it to a dealer.

See if you can pop the control unit out and check if the cables are still attached to the unit. Sounds like that is it.

Oh yeah, it would be, wouldn't it? I just suggested a cable because my work truck had that happen a couple months ago, but it's an old beater.

My bad.
