i gotta 4.7 dodge pickup and i wanted 2 kno if someone could gimmie sum advice on which would sound better..im not sure if the new super 44 would be too loud

We tried the new Super 44's on our Hemi...didn't sound good at all. Wasn't loud or deep enough. We had to call Flowmaster & ask them the best ones for our truck. Probably would be best if you did the same. They are real nice & helpful!

i did call them..the sales rep is the one who sold me on it...its supposed 2 b the richest deepest soundin muff that flowmaster has ever made...which one did u end up goin with on your truck

You've got to keep in mind that it's not just the muffler that determines the sound that comes out the tailpipe. You've got to consider the pipe diameter (larger tends to lower the tone), the length of the overall exhaust system and where (and how) it exits the underside.

If you have a decent muffler shop, try this...

Get both mufflers and go to the shop. When they've removed the existing muffler - put the first muffler on it and fire it up. Then try the second one. I know the sound will be different with the tailpipe on it but this might give you the answer you're looking for in making a decision. The one you don't want send it back for a refund.
