I don't know if i will be rich but i would love to build either a 1979 ford F100 or like a 1957 dodge power wagon. I was looking at 9liter engines and mack had the best performance wise but the only diesel experience i have is with my truck; the 7.3l IDI turbo diesel. Anyone have a recommendation on a 9l diesel. I would like Rockwells with lockers and a REAL Allison or cat even Eaton trans. Now enough of my dream what would you like to build.

You know those engines weigh about 2000 pounds, right? You'd have to do some serious structural work to get the truck to not fall apart, let alone to get it to fit.

Thanks for the helpfull criticism Mort. Now i know it's not practical enough to squeeze a 9l into a truck. knew id have to make the engine compartment larger but completely forgot about weight problems. Could yo put leaf springs along with air bags in the front? I'm only 18 and still learning about cars (dont know why i said that)
