GMC made the trucks bigger them the 3500 series for Chevy maybe some one here knows where I can find parts for this series Big Truck. I am in need of a place to purchase engine/trans as well as body parts. This truck was one that the GMC dealership i worked at sold new in 1969 with a 4X4 conversion, the company that owned it were giving it away so my son works there and they gave it to him. It has the big block V/6 engine that they say is making a noise and they say the 2nd gear is gone in the trans. Being as it is winter here in New Hampshire we haven't tried to start it yet, will wait for a much warmer time when the oil is a lot more liquefied state. thanks

For engine parts, I used to sell them to people when I worked at an independent auto parts store. I don't know if I'd go to one of the national chain stores, because the 17-year-olds that work there would give you a dumb look (dude, a 351 is a V8, dude), but one of the greasy places that still has the big long book behind the counter, that's where to go.

As far as body parts, try Year One. There's also a place here in the Seattle area called Pickups Northwest that ships nationally. If they can't find it, it doesn't exist. Here's their site http://www.dreamershotrods.com/index.aspx
