I need some heavy duty cleaner. The auto body shop cleaned the truck and well what ever they used has not come off with normal washing. What do you all suggest?

I'm getting a bad feeling here. Usually residue 'left behind' after normal washing isn't a residue at all. Could it be they used something harsh enough to etch or stain the surface?

Well if I cant get it off the shop said they will have them redone. If they can't be fixed I will push for a new set. Its on three i think. This was an insurance claim and it was the shops fault not mine so it better not cost me a dime. The funny thing is if they get new rims, they take that work to my sears so I might end up remounting my own tires. I will take my sweet time if i did do them.

If that doesnt do it try sand blasting with Baking soda. Cover the polished areas.

I've used some stuff called Heavy Metal for all my XTREME polishing needs (note the spelling of XTREME, that way you know it just isn't an everyday thing). They have different strengths depending on the finish and the severity of the damage.

Polished aluminum is what the group thinks so There were a few ideas thrown around. I don't know when I will get a chance to wast the truck but when i do wash and wax properly I'm tearing down alot of stuff as well. It will be a three or four day project, wheels coming off, frame cleaned up and painted that type of project.
