Hey guys im back again, this time im tryin to figure out how to cut my 60-40 seat into a 40-40 seat i guess u would say. well i want to cut out the center piece so that i can put a sub box in the center as a consol and box? So if anyone has done this let me know.

Mellofever, the easiest way will be to find a wrecked Explorer and then pull the seat(s) out of that. That will give you dual buckets up front and the gap. Could possibly even pull the center console out of the explorer and slide that into your Ranger.
Just a thought. The Ranger and Explorer should have interchangeable parts between the two.
If not, you are going to end up pulling the seat apart, taking the 20% part of the seat that you don't want and removing a fair amount of that steel and then bending it to go flat against the 40% of the seat. Then it is a matter of having someone sew up a new seat cover to hide the steel work.

I never thought about that. The bolt holes should even line up. Plus, the Explorer seats are a lot more comfortable than that park bench you've got in there now. And there are so many Explorers around, you should be able to pick a set up for cheap.

well hey thanks guys. but yea i got ahead of myself and i already cut out the 20 so yea, now my problem is getting a box to put a 12 and possibly a 10" box in there cause i want this thing to thump ha ha. but yea I'm planing on getting me some wood and start fab-in ill put some pics on here sometime!
