This is what happens sometimes when you drive a concrete truck. It happens more often when you drive an OshKosh 6x6 concrete truck.

That ground was pretty level before I started up. After getting a liability waiver signed (!), I started up the hill intending on going around the back to pour a deck. Well, the ground was pretty soft, so it sank like a rock.

Spinning all 10 wheels just buried it further. The worst part, the Load Span Tag Axle tires (the wheels in the very back) were touching the road, so it wasn't that far from pavement. But that's what 68,000 lbs of truck does when it encounters soft ground.

Here's the rut it left. It was a good two feet deep in some places. I had to get another guy in an OshKosh to yank me out. First thing he asked, "Did you get a waiver signed?" I responded with a "you bet your ass I did."

Funny thing is, it wasn't even my truck. I was driving it while the guy who normally drives it was on vacation. When he got back, first thing he did was thank me for keeping it clean and taking good care of it. Then he said, "I heard you got it stuck!" Here I am, expecting a talking-to, but he said, "It won't be the last time. I used to have my own loader at Centex Homes. I'd get stuck doing one part of the foundation, he'd pull me out, I'd go around to the other side, and get stuck again."

That made my day.

HOLY CRAP! That is how to get something stuck. I almost had a CAT 988H stuck once. But that was only an almost. Other than that I've just had some backhoes stuck many times

To give it some perspective, that front tire is a 445/65R22.5, which works out to be a 45x16.5R22.5 approximately. The rears are about that same size, heightwise, so that's how deep it was. It was buried up to the Rockwells.

No, but all the trucks have metal two cables. Yesterday, one guy got stuck twice in 5 minutes, broke two straps getting him out.

I don't know if it's the same up there as down here most of the trucks have like 10" chain loops hanging off the axles in front and back for that reason.

Hey Mort do you work for Rinker ? That's a big company down here in south FL, didn't know they were nationwide. If not the trucks look just like yours.

Yep, its Rinker. For now, anyway. We were bought out, but if/when we get the trucks repainted, who knows?
