I have talked to Denny about the motor but what do you guys think about this. I might go wheel and deal. I could end up with out a truck payment so thats 600 bucks in my pocket! I pulled a vehicle history and it checks out ok, just the normal registration stuff.

That's a pretty sharp looking truck.

159,000 miles is a lot. Are you close enough to take a test drive and inspect it? It's easy to make a truck look good on ebay, but you have to make sure the mechanical side of things are up to par. 159,000 on the Cummins is probably nothing. But what about the transmission, transfer case, suspension, etc. The interior shows the mileage, but appears to be in pretty good shape for the age/mileage. Also, what kind of shape is the frame in?

I'd see if there was a way you or someone you know could look at it and then I'd buy the SOB good looking even for a Dodge

It sucks that you have to make that choice. You have done so much to your truck it would be a waste to get rid of it. I have contimplated this many times and I cant bring myself to do it. I have invested too much hard work to make it look the way it is, and plus there is only 4300 left to pay off.

I hope it is the cheaper fix and I hope you keep it.

I am only 45 minutes away so its an easy thing to go and drive. Like denny said Pull it, thats the plan. I got hooked this year on the pulls and from what denny has said and what info he has sent me, the power i can build with the with little money is worth it. I know my truck is built but I can build this one up just as nice if not better. Seats can be re-covered, steering wheel can be re-wrapped or new one put on. Little cosmetic things dont bother me. I am looking to lower my monthly payment on a truck because of a possible new job and paycut that is coming up. My buddy told me about this truck and he says its sharp looking so...... So its a thumbs up for a possible move?

Like I said...it's gonna take some coin to make this into a serious pulling truck.

What has me kind of baffled is that he's got boost, pyro, trans temp gauge....yet, he's got a stock intake and exhaust. I wonder if he returned it all back to stock, or towed with it.

To start, I'd say fix the steering, get a shift kit for the tranny, along with a bigger cooler.

Then, fuel plate], bigger single (HX40), delivery valves, sticks, compound turbos (HX40 with HT3B), and tranny.

No wait...get a built tranny after the delivery valves.

Definately got a lot of potential.

The truck is junk. The guages dont work and the tranny has a massive leak and does not shift well at all. Denny your right about the steering, it was looser then a corner girl. Took me for a ride on a lane change.

Well, that's why it's on FLEAbay...

seriously though...if he sells it for 7-8k, you might have yourself a bargain truck.

Get a built tranny for about $4k (billet input, intermediate, output, triple disc converter, laminated flywheel), do the steering ($1k), and you're in it for $13k for a really well built truck.

that's if it goes for that low.

The eBay photos sure made it look nice!!!

I dont have the time, cash (you going to loan me the cash Big D?)or the ability to be with out a truck right now. If i had the time and money to put into this truck it would be a nice truck. The rest of the body is in good condition considering it spent alot of time in new england. So I will just keep looking. I will find the truck I want soon enough. I still do not want to drop into a F-150 but for economical reasons it might be my best route. Saw a decent looking 150 a the ford dealer on the way to work. So I might stop by and peak at it tonight when i get off. The bonus here is that it will be after nine so most places are not open so no salesmen to bother me.

So does any one know of a 12 or 24 valve 4x4 dodge in the MD/VA/DE area for sale? It does not have to be a long bed either. Extended cab would be nice. Color......... well depends on what is shown me.I have found a few online but I'm not driving three hours just to be dissapointed and plus i have some issues that require lawyer and court approval, long story I mean really long. So If any one sees one at a dealer in my area let me know!

DTT Billet Servos - $100 (30k miles)
Trans Rebuild and Install DTT parts $1200 (3000 miles ago)
Tires are about shot - but they are Hankook RT03's, have a set of 1/2 tread stockers i would throw in.

Not Included:
Randy Ellis Light Bar - $200
Hella Rallye 4000's (4) - $600

would include for $500

The Bad:
Dented Tailgate. from a buddy not latching the trailer ball properly then pulling a car on the trailer.
BB gun dent under passenger mirror (neighbors kid, Grrrr)
Dent in bumper from bumping the guardrail in the ice.
missing center cap on LF wheel from the same ice.
missing front tag bracket from turning around in a ditch at big dogs. (hung too low)
several dents on the bedrail from normal use.
Ugly aftermarket Tail lights, i would put a set of stockers in if you wanted them

Other:
the truck has 75,000 miles (rolled it last night)
i have every service and most mods written down in my service manual, date, and miles.
the truck in its current setup, sh!t and gets.
and will tow a house.

I dont THINK, that i missed anything.... but.

The Deal:
here is what im thinking.
the dealer made me an offer last night after a quick look, and said they were gonna look around and maybe up that a little.
that was with no turbo, no chip, no lights, no guages, stock size tires. (everything which i wanted to take off anyway)
I have been looking around, and i havent found any trucks like mine, listed for less then $29k, and a bunch over $30k
i told them i was willing to take $25k
figuring i can get $3k for the mods im taking off.

I would be willing to let it go to you for $26k (with the tranny in it) but everything performance off.
or with any combo of stuff you want on it for a little more.
the only thing i really wanna keep are the lights off the front, the bar can stay or go, doesnt matter.
and you can have everything else for $27,500.

this is alot of truck, for several thousand less then you could find a stock one for on a dealer lot.
im willing to work with you for what you want. so just let me know and i'll see if i can help.

Ty, that would be perfect but I dont know how I would be able to get rid of my rig in time for the sale. I am sure I can get what I owe on it but how fast I can sell it I just dont know.

I sent an email to him and got a reply back already. He understands everything and understands I can not commit 100% until I get a couple things taken care of. Nice guy thanks for pointing me his way! Oh you have any more pictures of it?
