So is this something i should be worried about:

YOUR ABOUT 4 HOURS AWAY FROM BETTER PERFORMANCE

Electric fans are not recommended for primary diesel engine cooling when the combined gross vehicle weight (CGVW) exceeds 18,000 pounds (truck, trailer and load)

I do pull alot of trailers that exceed that weight limit. So will these fans still be adequate?

I wouldn't put an electric fan on ANY diesel that pulls ANY trailers.

They don't have the mass flow required for proper cooling.

So, don't even thing about it! If you want to increase your power for towing, contact Jody at

www.dptuner.com

And let him know I sent ya.

Could you explain to me what the hype is about the DP tuners? what makes them so much better than the rest? Also What other mods would you recommend getting to increase my power for towing?

It's a Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge thing with chips for the Fords. There's no absolute best tune out there (or no one can confirm it), but I've found good customer service and good tunes making good power.

For towing, the basic mods are (in this order)

Intake
Exhaust
Gauges - Boost, EGT, Trans Temp
Chip.

Looks like you're pretty set up for towing, and you've done the basic mods.

For inejctors, I'd try here:

http://www.dynomitediesel.com/prod_display/Injectors/25/99-03+7.3/0.php

Talk to Ross, he's a great guy, and will get you all set up.

The next steps, I'd start with a regulated return fuel system from ITP, along with the HX Line:

http://www.itpdiesel.com/store.php?crn=177&rn=379&action=show_detail

Then a turbo, a good size is this factory drop in ball bearing unit:

http://www.itpdiesel.com/store.php?crn=103&rn=348&action=show_detail

Steve at ITP will take care of you. I've known him for years as well.

And the last thing is a twin HPOP (also available at ITP Diesel):

Mmk, ill take those in to consideration.Thanks. just wish i could afford em now. i think i my turbo is shuttering, not sure if that is the right term. but seems like it is trying to push more boost than it can. So should i upgrade the turbo first to eliminate that?

How do alliant AC code injectors compare to dynomite diesels in your opinion?

I know that DDP balances their injectors before they ship, so if that's worth anything. If you're gonna pull the sticks out, you might as well do a small upgrade.

I've not heard anything bad about alliant sticks...but they're just a stock replacement. I'd go with BD code injectors....but you'll need a new chip to run single shot sticks.

Turbo - yep, they're going rate is $1600-1800. I'd do that first before it gets expensive and you lose a turbo down the road while you're hauling a load!

It's not difficult. All bolt on. Just be meticulous about your work:

Just so you know, too many mods to a diesel engine that was not made to hi-perf specs can easily burn up pistons, so lets be careful out there boys.

actually, a pre 01.5 PSD with forged rods can take quite a bit of abuse. 400 hp is easily doable on the motor without too much stress, but that's about the cap.

I would say just go chip, intake, exhaust, and perhaps a turbo if you want to take it a step further.

I'd go with the Garret GTP38RR, a nice ball bearing turbo that's quick to spool and doesn't stall.
