I just picked up a 24' Four Winns Liberator and will be towing it around next summer.
Basically I would like to keep the rear end up when towing this beast. The TVS rear springs are not meant for towing. They were ok this summer while towing my 20' Thompson, but it has much less weight on the tounge.
My current plan is to get some Firestone air bags that attach to the frame and mount on the spring....and only inflate when towing. I just don't know how reliable this setup will be, and if I should go with sensors for auto leveling or just installing a schrader valve to fill manually.

The firestone airbag set up is very safe and works well. You can autolevel them or run a manual valve, both work efficiently. Personally, I would autolevel them if you can.

FTW does suck these days....but I was a member on here for years...and now my gallery is over it's size limit. Now I can't post any new pictures. The greedy ones are reducing gallery size without member funding.....sad IMHO.

Air bags are your best bet. You can go to heavy duty springs but that will lift the ass end too high when not towing. Or, you can go with a progressive type spring which may lift just a tad but get stiffer with the more load you put on.
My son in law has been running the air bags on the back of his 2003 Dodge Ram 4X4 for over a year now with great results. He pulls a tandem axle work trailer fully loaded with all his tools and the job he's working on at the time. No problems at all.

Thanks guys. Looks like I'm going to go with the Firestone Heavy Duty bags and on-board compressor. Should work just fine, and keep the beer from spilling.
