So LOML liked her small cutting board so much, she convinced me to make a few more. These are Maple and Cherry, made from scraps from previous projects.

This is a paper towel holder for my Mom. It is made from white oak and matches a bread box I made for her a couple of years ago. The three drawers are square so they can be oriented in any direction, allowing the box to be placed as shown, or on either side, or mounted upside down, under a cabinet.

Another scrap wood project. These trivets are made from a bunch of Cherry that was left over from a previous project. They are topped with 6"x6" ceramic tiles picked out of the close out bins at Home Depot.

This is my favorite piece of the bunch, a wine presentation box with a sliding lid. The sides, top and handle are all from a single piece of curly/quilted maple. The box ends and the handle brackets are made from cherry. The pictures I took do not come close to showing the beautiful figure in these maple pieces!

Thanks for looking.

Nice work, as always. I wish I had more time to work in my shop. I'm staying home this weekend to work on a set of French doors that I started about 8 months ago.

It helps that I have a 12 second commute. I can usually steal a half hour here or there during the day to pop down to the shop.

Yeah, when I work from home, I usually take a few breaks to do other things around the house as well. Now that I'm caught up on most of the other "chores", maybe I can do some woodworking. I have to move fast, though. My wife just ordered 7 bolts of wallpaper for the dining room and living room.

The Wife won't let me do wall-paper. Apparently, I 'don't do it right'. oops.

I'll give her a call. She has always been into much, much, much, much younger men. (Almost got arrested for it once.)

I kid, I kid! About the getting arrested part, anyway.
