Last year for SEMA I decorated Brian Olhausen's truck with some simple sponsor logos:

Those graphics are still on his truck a year later... they haven't come off!

This year Brian, Jason and I came up with a completely different and more obnoxious design :)

This is an early rendering of the design, showing basic shapes so I know how much and of what kind of vinyl to order. The design includes diamond plate metallic and flat black along the bottom, flat black and red outline for the Truckblog logo, and the sponsor logos will appear in brushed aluminum over the flat black along the bottom. There will also be a gigantic Truckblog logo (black/red) on the tailgate.

The diamond plate goes along with the DiamondBack truck cover that Brian will have on his truck. Brian's truck will be one of DiamondBack Truck Cover's featured trucks at the show. Congrats Brian!

If all goes well I'll be working on the truck next weekend. Should be fun... and a lot of vinyl.. my biggest project to date!

Sweet layout Chris, but I might have one up on ya....... have you ever taken on a 50+ foot trailer with vinyl? The measurements of the V and R in Viper are just over 5' high. Try it once, I did and never again. It paid good, but 3 days worth the layout and handwork.

And to think 3 weeks later the trailer was side swiped and I had to replace about $100 worth the vinyl I made double from the original installation due to insurance.

From an Attendee's perspective, I think that the new layout will be a better advertising bang for the buck.
Last year I snapped a picture of the truck sitting next to that one at the show.
I didn't notice it had a truckblog sticker on it till I got home and was browsing the pics.

So It will definitely stand out this year.
Here's proof, I just caught the sticker in the pic.

Brandon, that looks like a huge project!

And yes, this will be a much better layout for Truckblog and should attract more eyeballs for the sponsor logos as well. It will look way better on the truck since this was just done in vector (not Photoshop) so I can send it directly to my cutter.

For what it's worth - I had a set of graphics on my truck that lasted four years and lots of wet Washington State miles. Somebody knew what they were doing when they made them!

ahh the pre-SEMA bust... been a few years for me, best of luck to you. I'm still mad at Sprocket for using the bed of my truck as a trashcan, LOL.
Miss that truck, we had some good times (and every year I had good stories about the *-hole hotels I stayed in and rode my bike to the show each day LOL)

Greg, I figured maybe you handed the trash to Sprocket and told him to stick it in the bed of my truck :). j/k its all in good fun, I had my bike and a ton of other crap back in there under the tonneau anyways. SEMA was always pretty good at making me feel like I had a pretty damn stock truck, but it was still a blast and an honor either way.

Maybe we can get the old lady to help us on the weekend. I'm sure with her 20 years of vinyl experience, she'd have it on there in no time.

Brian picked up the vinyl for me today and just dropped it off. It's A LOT! I have my work cut out for me, that's for sure.

Got a snap of his truck with the Diamondback cover (with ATV package) and his Raptor on top.

This truck will be transformed this weekend.
