For old car lovers

This is very cool and worth the time to look.

A New York man retired, wanted to use his retirement money wisely, so it would last, and decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal.

The modest farmhouse had been vacant for 15 yrs.; the owner and wife both had died, and there were no heirs. The house was sold to pay taxes.

There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and they had been welded shut. Nobody wanted to go to the extra expense to see what was in the barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the property anyway......so, nobody made an offer on the place.

The NY guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth, moved in, and set about to tear in to the barn.......curiosity was killing him. So, he and his wife bought a generator, and a couple of grinders.......and cut thru the welds.

What was in the barn...............?

It's an urban myth. Here's the real story behind the pictures.

It's sad that the owner has let them go to shit. Eventually you figure some of them would find there way out when the real owner either died or decided to let them go.

Even if it was true, were the keys left in them?

First off, pretty nice "barn"!! That's like concrete & with steel doors, clearly he didn't want anyone to know what he had.
Too bad the story is fake..but the cars are awesome! Worth alot of money I guess. Parts alone.....damn! He really squeezed them in there too...pretty wild...

On a different note...we hauled a 76 Lincoln to the junkyard today, was siting in the woods since 1989..almost 20 years!! That was a job, cool car though, wasn't too bad for it's age. Looks like the engine could have been salvaged. Big old 460 I think..HUGE engine!! Probably have some nice heads too.
