| Chris I am out of town or I would offer more help but search a company called "USA SPEC" They make adapters for everything. I bought mine from Crutchfield. They work great and don't cost the same as most 3rd World Country budgets.

| Looking through that Brand Motion deal, it may not work.
Ford had two different types of head unit around that year (well, more than two, but for our purposes...). One had a unit with a button that says "AUX," like yours, and another had a button that had "SAT." I don't believe they are the same hookup, but I'm not 100 percent on this.
The Brand Motion application lists start with 2005, when the "SAT" button become more common. If it would work with the "AUX" button, logic dictates the application guide would start with around 2004, but I may be wrong.
The moral of the post: make sure you know before you order.

| I think Brand Motion has an adapter for both of the radios you describe, Mort. Their products are just priced so high.
I have the overhead rail system in my truck and was looking at the rail mounted bluetooth cell phone interface. They want $395.00!!!!
They also have the Magellan GPS unit designed for the F150. The list price on that is $895.00. I have seen them on ebay for under $300.00.
Anyway, here is another place that sells IPOD adapters:

| The one I have installed in the Toyota is from a company called Peripheral. While it's got a few quirks, it works well with the steering wheel controls and it scrolls title and artist across the navigation screen. Sound quality is what you'd expect it to be. Install took all of 15 minutes and the installation instructions were very well written.
I bought mine through eBay for $249.
The company lists one for Fords. Go check out http://peripheralelectronics.com/prodDetail.asp?strProductID=403&strSearch=

| | I was looking for something like that for mine also. But I have the sirius sat radio that uses the AUX button, so not sure how that would work. | |

| The Pioneer AVIC-Z2 is out -- complete with iPod adapter and interface -- and I highly recommend it:

| Looking at the Dual one, it doesn't say Satellite radio ready. Could this be true? Also, what about Bluetooth Ready?
Good price, but seems to be low on features.

| I have been looking at the Valor NVG-670W for a while now. Most of the options that you have to pay extra for on the AVIC-Z2 are already built into the Valor unit and the list price is a lot less. I have considered pulling my OEM head unit and the rear seat DVD and putting in the Valor.
From the items you have listed, I'm guessing you don't want or need a navigation system?
If you are looking at the 'not so major' brand market, here is another brand option for you to consider:

| | That's cool... I did a lot of reading on the Valor and even though it's not a brand name I'm familiar with, it seemed to have a lot included with the low price and have a lot of great feedback in various forums. GPS would be nice to have, but I'd rather have another device (like Garmin) that I can use as needed. I don't want to spend a few hundred dollars more just to have it in my head unit. | |

| Don't the good portable GPS units cost about that much anyway?
We usually end up taking a notebook PC with us on a trip and use Delorme's Street Atlas USA software. That works great for a long trip. It would just be nice to have something built right into the truck that I could use just for everyday driving. I have the same software on my IPAQ, but it's not worth dragging around with me for a short trip.

| Digitalee,
How did ou get the FX4 logo onto the AVIC-Z2? I am getting the same unit. Also, is their any way to disable the function which stops DVD use and Navigation controls when driving? Thanks.
