I have a 2003 King Ranch F150 and am looking to level the truck off without having to buy the 2" spacers for it...I was told that I can crank up my tortion bars but someone else told me they could break if I do so

Is there an allowance to how much you can crank them and does it also act like a lift for bigger tires??

Did you ever find anything out about this?

I have a 2003 Ford 4 wheel drive pickup. And am looking at raising the truck using the tortion bars.

Was wondering what you found out about this?

It can be done, and a lot of people have done so successfully. I personally don't know how, but a lot of people on this site have.

The drawback is that it throws your suspension geometry off, so getting a proper alignment is difficult. I don't think you'll break anything, but I hear it rides rougher and the tires will wear unevenly and prematurely.

I had mine done at the OK4Wheel Drive here in asbury nj. I had an alignment afterwards and I dont have any issues, atleast none that I know of. I know there are two bolts in the crossover thing that runs horizontal between both front doors. You just have to be careful and remember how many turns you have done. Also measuring both sides of the truck is necessary because both sides are not the same suspension height wise.
