| New shocks probably wouldn't hurt. Something in a Monroe Sensatrak, perhaps?
Most of the aftermarket suspensions I've heard of make it ride worse.
Try an air ride seat, like heavy duty trucks have. That'd be the hot ticket. Or some seats out of a Lincoln Continental or a Crown Victoria. It wouldn't make the suspension any better, but it would soften the impact.

| | just rock coilovers up front, and link the rear for coilovers....its gonna take some tuning though to get the rates how you like them...but it could ride better than a caddy | |

| | The Twin I-Beam suspension of those trucks was not developed for smoothness. It was developed and built for toughness. Yeah, you can do certain things to it; ie, coilovers and airbags, but in the end, it's still a very unforgiving suspension. Caddies and Lincolns have smooth rides, cause they have been designed that way. Your truck wasn't. If you want something smooth, think about trading in the truck. | |

| Why are you asking about re-doing the whole suspension, when you know there is no way you can afford it?
Sorry, but the cost of making your truck ride like that is going to exceed the value of your truck, and your budget.
Now, there are many things you could do that aren't so pricey, like the stuff Mort suggested. But I highly doubt you're prepared to drop $5k+ into your truck.

| id rather spend 5k on my truck than paying for a brand new 30,000 dollar vehicle.
besides, no truck payments, and only 800 bucks a year for insurance. :)
