Howdy all,

Well, just wanted to let everyone know, that I am now the proud owner of a '93 Honda Nighthawk 750.

Total price was $2000.

Yeah, that's a little much for a 14 year old bike, but these bikes hold their value really well. It only has 16k miles on it, and the engine just purrs when you fire her up.

I am excited, but a little nervous also, it's been a really, really long time since I rode a motorcycle.

Did you buy that as a toy, or to combat gas prices (or maybe both)?

Looks like it's in great shape, should be a lot of fun.

Dev,

Mostly to combat gas prices. And also to stop putting so many miles on my truck.

You know, it does sorta look like a toy, but that's a 750ci in-line 4 cylinder engine. It's not a Harley, but it certainly has plenty of HP to getup and go when it needs too. Hell, the damn thing weighes over 400lbs.

So, yeah, for me, it's going to be a commuter mostly, but then again, if I can get her out on the highway every once in awhile, I ain't going to complain.

Congrats!

I bought a 1985 Nighthawk S new in '85...

Was a Great Bike!

Back then Harley got the Feds to put a Tariff on Jap Bikes 700cc and larger....so the Nighthawk S was a 699cc.

I still have a Motorcycle Endorsement on the DL...One of these Days
I'll start riding again

Enjoy!!!

Check the link. Usually you can take a class or refresher course and afterwards they will waive the rider portion and give the endorsement but check local and state laws to see.

Congrats on the bike, it doesn't matter what you ride. The fact is you ride. If you really want a better ride go with a heavier bike. I have an 05' HD FATBOY, rides like a dream, it's in the softail family of HD's
