i am currently trying to put 2005 10 lug wheels on my 2001 F-450 which has the big 8 lug pattern.i bought new 2005 10 lug wheel spacers from ford hoping they would bolt onto my 2001 unit brg. but not so.i was wondering if anybody knows if the unit bearing and rotor from an '05 F-450 will bolt onto my 2001 spindle.anybody know for sure what front end ford uses in the F-450 4x4's,is it a 60 or not?

its a 60

my guess would be that the unit bearings wont interchange. In 2005 the axles became 2" wider. I see that causing a lot of issues with hubs and axle shaft lengths if you do manage to bolt them up.

Why wont the adapters bolt up?

Can you get the adapters meant for your year truck?
