| | I would personally stay away from body lifts. The only thing you will gain from them is tire clearance, yes they are inexpensive but depending on the application you may have to modify your steering column, pedals, clutch linkage(if applicable), transmission linkage, brake lines, parking brake cable or accelerator pedal cable. Coil spring spacers are not a bad choice but make sure you purchase the type which sit either on top or under the spring depending on your application. The aluminum twist-in type don't do much except stiffen your ride and can pop out if your suspension rebounds too far. Rear blocks are ok for street applications but are not recommended for any type of off-road, thats just too much space between the axle and leaf springs you will get alot of body roll depending on how tall you go. You can also purchase single helper springs which fit between the axle and your current leaf springs and are arched according to how much lift and weight you would be towing if you intend to tow at all. Superlift, Skyjacker and Trailmaster have fairly inexpensive suspension lifts available. | |
