Anybody out there come across a lift kit for a Silverado 2500HD that does not require any cutting of differential and frame. I didn't spend $40K so I can practice my chop shop skills.

Check out the latest parts and accessories from Truck Hownd

CST 8"...Cognito 8-14"....whats your goal?

Cognito even makes a bracket for the 4-6" kit that replaces what you cut off if you ever want to return to stock

CST Suspension does..4"-11" kits

Pro Comp makes a 6" kit for your truck as well.

Rize Industries is working on some kits...

where in CA are you?

Thanks bigreen. I checked out Cognito, some of the items are made in Taiwan. No thanks. I only want to go up 6" max. No hydraulics for me fundimotosports, thanks anyway. I have received negative input from some off-road shops on the CST stuff. I checked out Rize Jason, that stuff is freaking beefy and looks high quality but they don't offer products for my particular truck. They are currently in the R & D stage for the new body style Silverado. I am in Mission Viejo (South OC). I might be going with the Fabtech kit, that is what everybody is recommending. I just can't bring myself to cut up a brand spankin' new $40,000.00 truck. You guys know what I mean?

Yeah, but after its all done and you're cruising around, you'll forget all about it.

It only hurts the first time you do it. I loved drilling holes in brand new trucks when I worked for the dealer. Something oddly satisfying about it.

Hey Mort, of course you didn't mind drilling holes in those new trucks, they weren't yours and you were getting paid to do it.

Well, Taiwan or not....CST and Cognito (do make a 4-6") are leaps and bounds beyond Fabtech; but Fabtech is a well built kit also, and i doubt you would regret anything, but maybe stacking the rear blocks, and their shocks....which you can also replace later.

Yeah, Rize needs to get on the ball with that kit....not very good logic to offer a cantilever shock system for a truck, but not a lift kit.

Just got off the phone with RIZE and they will have lift kits out in a couple of months for Dodge. Chevy 2500 HD kits will be out in the fall.

That cantilever thingy sure is interesting. Any real benefit other than it looking cool as hell?

BDS makes good solid stuff.

IMO cognito is one of the better kits out there. They use a lift spindle instead of some crazy dropdown brackets. It is a very well enginered kit, plus they are the only ones who offer the pitman/idler arm support brackets that i am aware of. I had a fabtech on a 2500 HD and i had nothing but problems (ball joints, tie rod ends, pitman/idler arms) the actual fabtech parts were good but they put alot of pressure on other parts causing them to fail. I have a cognito now and it is awesome! hope it all works out for you.

If your looking for top of the line systems for your Chevy, it would have to be Cognito and then CST, no one can touch them on engineering for the Chevy systems, specially Cognito, both have been dedicated Chevy Lift manufactures for quit some time, Rize is nice but the steering and front geometry is where its at and Rize doesn't come close to Cognito. And if your looking for a more affordable system then BDS can not be beat, they too have some very well engineered products for the Chevy not to mention awesome customer service and warranty.
