So I found some MX-6 Shocks for a 01 Expetdition 4x4 with a 3 inch lift. Decently priced

My question is can I squeeze them into a 98 F150 4x4 with NO LIFT?

Thanks

Check out the latest parts and accessories from Truck Hownd

It depends on the length of the shocks..measure them from mount to mount and tell us what the distance is.

Well according to pro comp website http://www.explorerprocomp.com/PDFs/07cat/72-91.pdf

they are 19.25 extended and 13.25 compressed for the F-150 and 19.25 and 13.25 for the expedition That is what is listed on the web for the four inch lift.

Stock measurements are

15.5 extended and 11.02 compressed on the F150 and 15.5 and 1102 on the expedi.

If my alabama math is correct I dont think they will fit due to the two and one quarters diference in compressed legnth. Or am I all jacked up?

Jason I hope you got the MX6 shocks on you Ford. I just installed mine no my 2005 F350 Diesel and they are worth the money. I keep them set about the middle for on road and all the way for off road. You can feel the change in the settings.
