Yesterday I had the guys at SKG Auto (www.skgauto.com) install a MBRP exhaust on my 300C. It's amazing how fast they work... it took them only 1 minute!

Check out my video of the installation at Muscle Car Blog:

SCAM!!! That was a time-lapse video, they didn't really do that all in 1 minute. That was easily 10 minutes of work. We're not fooled!

Caught me.

As for the muscle car/HEMI discussion, it is a V8 HEMI with more HP/torque than other muscle cars out there:

2007 Mustang GT: 300hp, 320tq, 4.6L V8
2007 Chrysler 300C: 340hp, 390tq, 5.7L V8

and the MBRP exhaust I installed is part of their new new muscle car line which includes the Corvette, Mustang GT, and 300C.

Hard to say it's not a muscle car, folks. I will admit it's not a "pony car", but it is a muscle car.

The SRT8 engine is the same HEMI engine that's in my 300C, however it's a 6.1L version of it. Other than that, it's exactly the same.

I'm going to be standing in light right in front of you for that ride... I'm glad DC is making it. It will be the first HEMI pony car in a long time.

Thanks Tom! Denny, I have a MotoQ (WM5) and they play fine (WMV format)

BTW, they could have gotten it done much faster if the guy with the camera wasn't in the way.

Cizzle sounds alot better now with the MBRP exhaust on there. It's throaty but not obnoxious (well maybe during a 5 hour drive). Sounds awesome though.

Video looks great ;)

More to come

I know I am an asshole..but oh well..everyone else expresses their opinion..just a couple of SLIGHT differences between your 5.7 hemi and the 6.1 hemi..they arent the same at all

"The 5.7 L Hemi in the Ram delivered 345 hp (257 kW) and 375 ft·lbf (508 Nm), but 340 hp (254 kW) and 390 ft·lbf (529 Nm) for the 300C and Magnum. It is a 90-degree V8, 2-valve pushrod design displacing 5654 cc (345 in³), with a bore of 99.5 mm (3.92 in) and a stroke of 90.9 mm (3.58 in).

A new variable displacement technology called Multi-Displacement System (MDS) is used in some versions which can shut off two cylinders on each bank under light load to improve fuel economy."

"Chrysler has developed another modern Hemi, this time at 6.1 L. The displacement is 370 cubic inches (6,059 cc). The engine is bored-out to 4.1 inches (103 mm), but many other changes were made to allow it to produce 425 hp (317 kW) at 6,200 rpm and 420 ft·lbf (569 Nm) at 4,800 rpm. The engine block is different, with revised coolant channels and oil jets to cool the pistons. A forged crankshaft, lighter pistons, and strengthened connecting rods add durability. A new cast aluminum intake manifold is tuned for high-RPM power and does not include variable-length technology. Chrysler's Multi-Displacement System is not used."

BIG DIFFERENCE!

Google is an amazing resource, isn't it?

Really not sure what your point is, though. My simple point is that the 5.7L HEMI in the 300C has more "muscle" than a Mustang GT "muscle car". What else does it take to qualify as being a muscle car in your opinion? 2 doors?

yes..it is a good resource. you should try it.

I doubt your 300c sedan would stand a chance against a mustang.IMO

I don't really have a point so to speak,but I personally don't see the 300c as a muscle car.

but to each his own.
