yeah thats a great deal. I went through two flex cables when i had my avic-n1 and n2. Those flex cables and the two motors are really fragile.

Unrelated, being its sold at this point. I sent my Clarion in 3 times then sold it and sent my Kenwood in twice. The entire LCD died on the Kenwood. You would touch the screen and it died.

Took them a long time of bench testing to fix the problem.

yea..the unit was in the truck for about 3 years with zero problems..then all of the sudden I get in my truck after a seeing a movie and BOOM no screen..I was like WTF..anyways contiplated on what to do for a while..3 months with no screen sucked but I was looking thru my e-mail and received an e-mail from Pioneer saying they were issuing a recall on the N1 N2 and N3..for the flex cable..I was stoked but i still bought a new Z1 b/c I didn't think I could be without a radio for 4 weeks (thought that was the time frame)I got the Z1 installed and sent the N1 to pioneer on the following Thursday and exactly one week later I had it back with a upgraded flex cable and a new face plate.

Oh yea and it was 100% free

My Clarion cost me about 300 for repairs.....because I bought it on eBay. I spent a fortune on the Kenwood through Crutchfield for the warranty - and who knew the warranty center is in NJ...lucky me.

Clarion was in California...took forever.

I've had no problems with my Kenwood DVD-915.

Maybe I've been lucky?
