| Sometimes in my old Camaro, you'd have to drive it at about 35 miles per hour for a few minutes for the computer to relearn itself. It sucks, you'll have to make sure at stoplights you keep a foot on the throttle, but drive it around the block, shut it off, then fire it back up. Should be alright.
If that doesn't work, check the ground.

| | The thing is it wont stay running long enough to drive it. Plus all of the lighting flashes, high beams, interior ligths, dash lights. they all flash. I pulled the head light fuse and they still flashed. I am thinking this is a really stupid fix or it will cost more then what he paid for it. | |

| Boy, that really sounds like a grounding problem. On that same Camaro, it was doing some crazy shit like that, missing, dying at intersections, warning lights flashing. I just cleaned the ground contacts and she ran like a dream.
Man, when I think about it, that car had a lot of little problems.

| | Well the thing is its a timed flash, just like how a alarm system flashes the lights. | |

| | Called Jeep and they say to turn the jeep on to the run position and let everything flash and such for about ten minutes. It takes ten minutes for the jeep's computer to learn everything again. I hope this works, more info to come tomorrow, the jeep is in the dorm parking lot. | |

Seriously, though, I'm out of ideas. Possibly a tow to a reputable shop would be all I can think of.

| | the jeep probably has a factory alarm system in it. what you need to do first is unlock one of the front doors or the back lift gate with the key, to disarm the system. if that doesnt work then the disarm sitches have fallen off or they are no good, you will have to replace at least one of them. that should work. i had a jeep come in to work the other day with the same problem, all the disarm switches were bad, replaced the drivers door switch and put the key in and turned it and the lights stopped flashing. good luck let me know how it turns out. | |
