I'm partial to Line-X. They're thinner than the other ones, but that's because they don't have to glop the shit on to make it durable. They tend to discolor less than Rhino or Bullhide, and their warranty is national. Most of the other guys, the warranty is with the original installer only.

I had Rhino put in the bed by the previous owner of the truck. Not impressed at all. Two years after it was applied it was * brown and nasty cottage cheese looking. I had line-x applied to the rollbar, nerf bars, brush guard. 4-5 years later, its browned slightly but not nearly as bad as rhino did.
I'm looking at a new company called Gatorhyde. I've seen some sampled of their work and they might be doing the rocker panels on the truck.

Arma coatings is the only way to go! But im sure you all think im partial to arma as that's what i do for a living but i can say that i am one of the few that have sprayed both of the "big name" bedliners...Line-x and Rhino and am now on Arma and i'll tell you just from an honest opinion this stuff is by far the best chemical i have seen! Arma actually started the hot spray system that Line-x currently uses and a number of other companys too. In fact Line-x is a spin off of Arma coatings. To be honest, Either Arma or Line-x is better than Rhino. Rhino is too old to compete with either one now days, it was good back in the 80's when bedliner's were far and few between, but now that prices have come down to where everyone can afford them you are better off going with a hybrid polyurethane/polyurea vs. a pure polyurethane. The best bed's are done by people that take ALL of the hardware out, use a wire trim tape on all of their edges, hand sand all the edges, GRIND the bed not SAND (relax, i mean with a 5 inch grinder and a 36 grit sanding disc) and they MUST MUST MUST blow the bed out and WIPE it out with methanol or alcohol or a solvent of some sort. If your applicator doesn't do these steps search around till you find one. Oh and as far as warranty's go read the fine print. Yes Line-X and Rhino both have nation wide warranty's but that only covers the workmanship. Like if the bed started peeling or bubbling up, not if you put a hole in it through using it. Yes all of Line-x's warranties say this and so do Rhino's, hell even ours do. If your shop will cover your screw ups then you found a good shop in my book, we always tell our customers that if something happens bring it back and we will take care of it, no charge no hassles! If you got some bed questions go ahead and ask!

I think its also important to note that a warranty is only as good as then you need something fixed. For example, the rhino lining comes with a "lifetime" warranty, but lifetime could mean one month, if the buyer sells the truck. I took in my truck to Rhino Linings a year after the coating was applied, even had the receipt. They said sorry, lifetime warranty is only good for the original purchaser. But it's only been a year, surely... Nope, read the fine print. warranty expires the minute the truck is sold.
Wow, great deal!
So I contact Rhino corporate... say this thing has only been installed for a year and it is * brown already, can't you do anything? Nope, warranties are offered and enforced through dealers, and they could decide to honor it or not. Great. Thanks for the great support.

What happened to you is B.S., yes i realize everyones warranty says that it only applies to the original owner of the truck. They just don't stand behind their stuff is what the problem is. We make sure to cover anyone and everything as long as its not blatant disregard for your liner, if your taking and stripping the bed off and claiming that it just came off that's another story but if you put a hole in there accidentally they should fix it. Word of mouth is the best advertising and look at the negative press they have now! By the way, if you want to restore the look of your Rhino Liner look for an Aliphatic top coat, while not a permanent solution, it will make it look like new for a while.

For mine I just put a bedrug over it :). I wish I'd gotten some better pictures of it before I did. But there was no way I could use the truck as a show truck and have a bedliner like that. It looked like absolute ass. The line-x dealer in town even told me he'd spray it with line-x for free fi I could get the rhino out but I was afriad I'd get about halfway through and not be able to get it up, LOL.

I have a Rhino in my truck and in my last truck. I've never had it fade but mine is covered by a tonno all the time unless I'm hauling something. I was going to try a Line X this time but there local shop was only open monday thru Friday when I was at work and I'm not taking time from work to check on a liner when I never had any problems with my Rhino.

I've never heard of Arma I'll have to see if there is a local shop here doing them for my 86

Line-x is fine, don't get me wrong, i liked Line-x and i have no issues with it. For the dollar though, Arma is way above anything out there. All your doing when you buy Line-x is paying for the name, the Line-x dealer i worked for is now $630.00 if you wanted to go over the rails on a short bed truck. We in comparison are $489.00, we shoot the same stuff, have basically the same warranty, ( again there's is "nation wide" while ours is us backing up our name) and it looks just as good.

I have Line-X, and it works fine for me.

I've had tons of crap in it - motorcycles, bikes, snowboards, emissions equipment, and old engines that are all drippy 'n stuff.

And the Line-X has held up.

And the fact that you can abuse the shit out of it, and they'll fix it, is nice.

I got mine sprayed in San Leandro (near San Francisco), and had it fixed up here in Bellingham, so they do stand behind their product.

GATORHYDE is the best spray in bed liner on the market. Gatorhyde is applied with high pressure and high heat(Cadillac in the industry). Gatorhyde gives you the fine sandpaper look, not the clumpy globby low pressure look. Gatorhyde has a nationwide warranty program, and their product is dry in 5-7 seconds unlike all those low pressure systems out there. Go to to www.gatorhyde.com find a applicator near you.

I have had good luck with Line-X. No experience with other brands. Line-X now has a UV coating as an option,a sunscreen if you will, that will keep it from fading. You would have to be a real jackass to chip most any spray-on bedliner, they are all fairly durable.

I got gatorhyde bedliner on my truck and also got a top coat called gator gloss on it and 3 years later still looks great and the guy I got it from was good too he said if I ever had any problems just bring it in and he would fix me right up. And I only paid $360.00 with the price of the gator gloss I can only say good things about gatorhyde it has been great.

I agree with shorty - get a Bedrug.

I've had drop-in's and spray-in's but the Bedrug was by far my favorite and even the most durable.
