THIS IS TO INFORM FELLOW 2006 NISSAN TITAN OWNERS THAT YOUR VEHICLE DOES NOT COME WITH THE BRACKETS TO ALIGN THE VEHICLE.
YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY $157.00 FOR THE BRACKETS, THE COST FOR A WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND IN MY SONS CASE THE COST OF NEW TIRES
MY SON ONLY GOT 12,000 MILES ON HIS TIRES WHEN THEY STARTED TO WEAR. WE TALKED TO CLASSIC NISSAN IN ORLANDO WHERE WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND WERE INFORMED THAT WE HAD TO GO TO GOODYEAR.
WE WENT TO GOODYEAR AND THEY TOLD US BY THE WEAR OF THE TIRES THEY COULD NOT REPLACE THE TIRES AND THAT WE NEEDED A WHEEL ALIGNMENT. WE PURCHASED GOODYEAR TIRES FOR THE VEHICLE FROM SAM'S CLUB AT A SAVINGS AND THEN WE WERE TOLD THAT WE NEEDED A WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
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
IF YOU HAVE A 2006 NISSAN TITAN, YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR VEHICLE CHECKED AND THEN YOU NEED TO COMPLAIN TO THE MANUFACTURE. WE HAVE POWER IN NUMBERS IN ORDER TO FORCE A RECALL. AN ALIGNMENT IS PART OF MAINTAINING THE VEHICLE BUT WITHOUT THE PART WE CANNOT DO IT. I HAVE CALLED AUTO REPAIR SHOPS AND THEY HAVE NOT HEAR OF ANYTHING LIKE THIS AND I HAVE ALSO CALLED AUTO PARTS STORES AND THEY ONLY HAVE REPLACEMENT PARTS. MY QUESTION IS HOW CAN YOU REPLACE A PART THAT WAS NEVER PUT ON THE VEHICLE. THEN FINALLY I CALLED NISSAN DEALERSHIPS AND THE MANAGERS HAVE STATED THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF ANYTHING LIKE THIS AND THAT IS HOW THE VEHICLE CAME FROM THE MANUFACTURE. I ASKED HOW COULD THEY HAVE DONE THE INITAL ALIGNMENT WITHOUT THE BRACKETS AND THEY DID NOT HAVE AN ANSWER FOR THAT EITHER.
IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME WITH THIS TOPIC, I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP.

I don't know about the Nissan but I know for a Ford F150 to have an alignment your supposed to change the a-arm bolts with of set bolts to adjust the camber. The kit is just over a hundred bucks and if your alignment is out enough to wear the tires you'll need them. I thought I was going to need them when I had my leveling kit installed.

In regards to the cambers on the 2006 Nisson Titan, they were never installed on the vehicle. There is no way to align the vehicle unless we install the cambers. It is as if the manufacturer left them off the vehicle on purpose.
I have call a number of automotive repair shops and they are amazed at the fact that the cambers are not on the vehicle. The repaired shops have told me that you need that part in order to maintain the vehicle and if it is not on the vehicle how can it be maintained?

I *believe* that Hondas and Acuras were the same way. That seems pretty fucked up, but I don't think its on the extreme end of things. It would about double the price of an alignment, though (the first time).
No wonder the customer satisfaction on those things is so low.

After I lowered my Supercrew, I had to buy the camber adjustment kit as previously mentioned. I didn't think it was too bad though, just an extra $50 to the cost of the alignment.

It's an unfortunate event. Most peoples with 06 who take it to their dealer get a free alignment and the cam bolts install at no chagre. In the case you do need to get the cam bolts they're About $15 for 4 plus $4 for 4 washer Cam Bolt (Quantity 4) 54580-7S005 Cam washer (Quantity 4) 54559-7S005
