| I do not know much about the Dodge trucks but i would like to pass on some simple advise about modding. Sit down and figure out exactly what you want from your truck and what you plan on using it for.Is it a daily driver and you just want a little more power? Is it a truck you plan to show and want a big booming stereo? Or are you somewhere in between. Figure out what you want and then make a plan.

| Exactly! Decide what the end-state will be and then start building toward that goal. There's way too many trucks where the mods just don't make sense (to me anyway). For example; street tires, lowered with a grill guard and side steps!?
Where do ya wanna go with it?

| It is used for long road trips; camping, inlaws. Also bought to carry three kids, wife, and couple dogs. So I need mpg increase as well as hp. I have been putting together a plan but all I am getting is too much info that makes no sense. I figured somebody out there has a basic plan to follow for the middle of the road, no need for a super truck type of guy.

| From what you are saying. It is going to be a family truck. Just your basic mods will do great for what you want. These 3 are pretty much your basic mods. Really dose matter what brand you go with just stick with a known name.
Intakefor instance K&N, Air Force One, Volant, ETC. ^^ Hp Gains- anywhere from 0 to 8 HP. MPG Gains- If you lucky 0 to 1 MPG.
Exhaust for instance Flowmaster, Gibson, Magnaflow, ETC. ^^ HP Gains- Anywhere from 0 to 10 HP. MPG Gains- If your lucky 0 to 3 MPG .
Tuner for instance SuperChips, Diablo, Prediator, ETC. ^^ HP Gains- On avarge 10 to 20 HP. MPG Gains- On avarge 3 to 5 MPG.

| Water Spider's list is a good one.
But there's one thing to keep in mind. You'd mention improved fuel economy as well as more horsepower. The cost of mods (intake, exhaust, electric fans, computer mods) will never be recovered in fuel savings. Many mods will require you to run hi-octane fuel in order to really make more horsepower. It's often a toss of a coin on what you want from the truck.
Nobody said this was gonna be easy!
