I having some trouble finding aftermarket performance part for my 2001 mercury mountaineer 5.0 v8 i have a mac cold air intake system and a flowmaste 40 series exhaust system and i want to improve my engines performance i want it to run like a purring kitten if anybody knows of any websites that i can find some of the aftermarket parts i have looked about evertwhere i can and i can not find a lot on my truck.

I've run into the same problem for my 99. Problem is, they're slightly different than the old Mustang 5.0s (coil pack ignition, different intake manifold, different computer programming, etc.) to make things difficult.

If you really want to go balls to the wall, I'd put some Trickflow cylinder heads on that bad boy, and a hotter cam. I *think* the 94-95 Mustang cams will work, and you'll definately have to reprogram (a guy from Superchips is a member of this site), but that'd have her running like a raped date.
