I made a change to the gallery feature. Premium members won't notice any changes, however free members can now upload a few photos.

Free members now have 1MB of disk space which allows them to upload about 10-15 photos depending on their size. This allows them to upload a few photos of their truck, choose one as their avatar, and feel more a part of the site!

So if you spot a normal member without an avatar, you might want to drop them a link to this announcement so they are aware of the change!

Yes, it won't be a strain on our resources (disk space, bandwidth) and more importantly, it won't deter them from participating a bit more than they would otherwise (feeling like an outsider without an avatar). Hopefully at some point down the road they'll want more space and cough up the premium membership dinero.
