I have a 2000 Chrvrolet 2500 and I thought my transfer case was cracked because it was leaking a considorable amount of fluid. i pulled it today to find out it wasn't the transfer case that was cracked, but it was an aluminum collar that goes around the input shaft on the front of the t-case. this cast piece has 6 bolt holes and mounts between the transmission and transfer case. i was just wondering what this piece is called, or what to call it when i go to the dealership to get this part? also has this happened to anybody else? i think it's kind of odd...
