Cant wait for Sat. TV in cars. Its coming soon to your neighborhood. I hear you can get direct tv for just 5 dollars more if you already have Direct in your home.

Check out the latest parts and accessories from Truck Hownd

I know a few of the guys working on this technology. The units are actually getting to be pretty small, and the antenna isn't all that bad either.

Will definitely be cool when it's as cheap as satellite radio in a few years!

My electronic wizard friend told me. He builds computerized camera heads. He keeps up on everything. He also told me that Direct just up up a new satellite for HDTV. Now has the market cornered on the finest one out there. All the big directors use them. Those awesome shots in Seabiscuit were from his head.

It's already out, isn't it? I have watched satellite tv in several SUVs locally. They also get wireless internet. The units are large flat black disks that mount between the rails of the luggage rack on the roof.
According to this article, it's been available since last September.

Fueler32 has Satellite TV in his truck.

You can drive with it on and it tracks the Satellite.

Its a pretty big dish that lays flat on his camper shell.

I watch it this weekend and I have to say its very impressive.

To me, it'd just be good for the kiddo on road trips. I can't watch it while driving, so it'd be more of a novelty in the truck.

I'll just stick to satellite radio and a portable DVD player for now.
