| I dont know. Boredom?
Ever since I saw Tampa SVT's truck at FTW in 2001 Ive always liked them. But the Fiero is the only wing I think looks workable. My son scott came across this one and gave it to me.

| Sorry, I have never been a big fan of wings on trucks.
The way I figure it, if the ass end needs a little help staying in contact with the ground, just throw a couple of bodies in the bed to weight it down.

| I thought it was a joke till i noticed on the last picture it had flames on it, but hey if it works for you then that's all that matters.
And I agree with you with as far as Tampa SVT his did set his truck off, but yours? It just looked clean without it.

| | Not really my style, but it doesnt look bad...atleast its not one of those huge aluminum erector set wings. I think a gaylords x2000 with the speedstur wing/lip would look alot cleaner, but thats just me. |

| I like it. The lines and shape fit the truck nicely. Personally, I would have trimmed the mounts so the gap on the outer ends would have been even with the lid. Hell, with the speeds you can hit, the added down force might be welcome. Nice addition. | |

| I also think it looks really clean. The wing is like the perfect addition.
Did you also get flames on your lower airdam? I don't recall ever seeing those?

| Tek, I had the bumper cover done about a year ago but it got damaged from rocks and trash on freeways so I just put another brand new one about two months ago. The painter put a few more flames on this time This is the first one he painted
and this is the new one

There are more flames on the new one. Frankly I like the old one better but what is one to do.

| | Well, I'm neutral on the wing. I'm personally not a fan of big wings like that on pickups, but enough people seem to like the look. I do like Kyle's suggestion for the Gaylord lid. I also saw someone who did a stainless steel sort of "fin" on the back that looked really good. | |

| Love it Lynn!
And, as pointed out, as fast as that beast will go (and I've had a lil' demo!) that wing will definately come in handy.
Ricer? Hardly. Ricer is "Got Wing?" on a front wheel driver where the wing actually reduces downforce on the driving wheels.

| Oh - and what really matters is that Kath loves it too!
Now we just want to make sure that you actually did update your will to ensure that Elvira will be taken care of by those two that will dedicate themselves to doing the job right. (know what I mean? nudge, nudge, say no more...)

| Uh, NO!!!!!!!
Sorry it takes away from the truck in my mind.. I would do the "I love it" type deal but you know me to well.. Not the style I would think of with a truck like yours.. It will make style points with those asses that score the truck at the shows and such, but at the track you know you will be laughed at for doing it...
Still love ya bud......

| | Lynn, it's not my style, but then again, it's not my truck. Think I would have done something more in the line of a spoiler or something in that nature. But, I give you all kinds of props for doing it right and not something half assed. Truck looks great, no matter what. | |

| Lynn,
I'm on the fence on this one...I really like your rig the way it was, but perhaps if I stare at the photo a bit longer, it will grow on me.
Hmmm...it's getting there...

| Well it took me 5 years to finally put the wing on. The reason for that was that I got exactly the same response from friends who I ran it by during that 5 years.
Some liked it and some hated it. Its was about 50/50. So Im not surprised to see this same sort of response.
I thought well Ive run it for 5 years without a wing. And Scott gave me this one so I thought Ill run it with the wing for awhile. Its easy enough to go back. It only requires filling 4 small holes and repainting the tonneau. And frankly the tonneau is going to need repainting fairly soon anyway. So Ill just play with it this way for awhile.
But Chris is right. I really need to start a new project. I will go with a classic circa 32 to 41 next time.
And Tom... Kath .... If she went to anyone youd be the ones shed go to. No one loves her like you guys do and no one would take care of her like you would.
