After getting fired for their Sex For Sam III, in which a couple had sex in St. Patrick's Cathedrel in New York, Opie and Anthony have returned to the terrestrial airwaves, after 2 years out of the business and two years on XM satellite radio. They simulcast the first three hours of their show both on CBS radio and XM, then do two or three more hours exclusively on XM.

I believe its a good move for the bbboys. Not only will they attract more listeners (and hopefully more XM subscribers), the bits they do will be better. Its tough for people listening in St. Louis or Chicago to come to Manhatten to participate in a radio contest, but someone listening on a terrestrial station in NYC or Philadelphia would be more prone to stop by.

Anybody fans of O&A? Will this make you check them out if you aren't? If you are, what do you think of the move? I've been addicted to O&A lately, so I'm in the "good move" group.

I've heard of them, but I think their humor is tired and lame. Not a fan.

How lame the people who pay for their program on XM can now get the jack asses for free. No fan of them here.

Owned by Clear Channel? Yes. Commercial free music stations? Yes. More than Sirius, in fact. True, there are some stations programmed by Clear Channel (for what reason, I cannot understand) that play commercials. But not many.

This new category will also include Clear Channel programmed music channels Nashville, KISS, MIX, Sunny, plus WSIX (launching soon), with acclaimed country personality Gerry House live from Nashville. Please note that Clear Channel will start carrying commercials on these music channels in May, so they have been grouped separately from XM's 69 commercial-free music channels on our new channel guide.

I think that's very straight forward and honest of them. They have never claimed to be 100% commercial free. Their talk stations have always played commercials. Not 5 commercials every ten minutes like terrestrial. I think 5 commercial stations out of 74 music stations is pretty good odds. Besides, those are crappy music stations anyway.

And yes, O&A are on High Voltage 202. And Vegas, you can't get the whole show on terrestrial, just the first 3 of 5 hours.
