I just moved permanently to North Carolina, some of you I have met at Carlisle. I started and was the FTW NY Chapter's President since July of 2001 till last Fall.
Here's a little of what going on with me. I retired at a young age found I needed to do more. Well I have been looking for something to do since last Summer. Now I have found my dream job!
I run a Research and Development Shop in Mooresville, NC. Yes Race City USA, there is so many big name NASCAR Team shops around where I work you would not believe. It's a great job!

My brother-in-law just moved to that area, and a friend is going to the NASCAR pit training school in the area. It's a nice place, I'll be visiting in April or May and scoping out some properties.

It was nice to meet you at Carlisle Tom.

I didn't know you had started and was the FTW NY Chapter President.. you did do ALOT of good over there and your chapter reflected it.

Y'all do need to know that Age is a relitive thing... while Tom says he "retired at a young age", he has more gray hair then I, and I'm an old prick

J/K Tom, Congrates on finding your dream job! I really do admire anyone who is able to achieve a career position they love, regardless of fame or the financial reward that tends to come more easily when you truely enjoy what your doing.

I have a couple old business partners living down in Huntersville, NC, it's a wonderful area... inspit of the fact that it has experianced explosive growth over the last 15 years.

Cool deal Tom, congrats! The coincidence is Trish and I are thinking of N.C. as a place to retire to in a few years. We've been doing some looking for homes in that part of the Country on the internet and if things work out, we may be your neighbor in about three years. We may take a trip out that way next year and buy a house so when we retire we'll have a place already set.

Thanks for all the welcomes.
Hey Tek, You are right, but this weather has me sold on staying here besides the job.

Brad shoot me a e-mail when you are coming to the East side of the U.S. We will have to definitely meet up.

devnull, my townhouse is just down the street from the NASCAR School. When plan on coming to town shoot me e-mail!

Joeg180, Yes, unfortunatly take me off the list for going to Watkins Glen, I doubt if my "L" will see New York for a long time. It is cheaper and quicker to fly to WNY!

Hey Tom, so how do you think Jeff did it? I think there's some kind of black hole over the state, sucking everything in. It took the only really good show we had in Va and put it at Rockingham. You are down there now and we just found out that we'll be down there in July.

There's something funny going on here....

What are you up to Jeff???

Congrats Tom.I'm missing a good bud to visit in N.Y. I've got an invitation to come down to Charlette with a paint company I deal with who are based there and deal with a lot of Nascar teams .The guy who runs the custom paint end wants to give me the backdoor tour of some of the shops and being a Nascar nut I'm pumped. So I do want to make it down your way.I'll be looking you up Tom.
Ron.

Ron,
Just give a call on my cell, I still have the same old number or shoot me a e-mail, the doors are always open down here for you. I am working in the Race City area, the home of 76 NASCAR Teams, I know you will like it here!
