I was going through Stern withdrawals so I broke down and bought the Sirius S50. There are so many features on this receiver that I'll need a 12 year old to help me figure out how to use them, but it plays great. I'm sure next month Sirius will come out with a truly portable receiver and this unit will be out dated, but until then at least my mornings are now filled with laughs and giggles!

I heard they gave him another 200 mil as a bonus. How the hell are they going to recover 700 Mil over 5 years?

Damn good question! They sure spend their investors money it seems to me quite freely. I think they have like 3 million subscribers and if you take the monthly 12.95 charge multiply it times the number of subscribers I still can't see how they can make a profit. Considering Stern is not their only employee, what it costs for rental time from the Satellite and the rest of their equipment, building space, overhead................but, they have been around for a long time!

But those sorts of bonus' are usually tied to other things, ie: X number of new subs or whatever. I doubt he got a check for $200,000,000 up front.

Speaking of Sirius, they now make a direct plugin tuner for 2004-up Sony headunits, but nobody has it available yet, and I can't find any info on wether it's compatible with my cdx-f7715x. I'm guessing it is since it's a 2005 model, but I don't want to buy one until I'm sure.

It was in the form of stock because he met his subscriber level before the deadline. I think it was 3million subs.

I had Sirius before Sterns, and truthfully I still don't listen to him, but we will have NASCAR in 2007
