| Not much if any. Maybe a tad just from the extra weight but not simply based on the width. Sounds like someone may be getting a set of TOYO M/T's

| I would think the differance would just about be un-measurable.
"All Else Being Equal" The wider tire will have a bit more rolling resistance, a bit more areo drag and the small amount of extra weight won't help either but all-in-all, I would expect the differances to have less then a 0.5 mpg effect . . .
remember, your mileage may vary

| I agree.. there is a positive side to a wider tire though. Longer tread life.. but then again if you are going to the M/T Toyo's you'll never need another tire again........ | |

| | Thanks guys. Definitely the Toyo MT's. My Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips are finally too far gone, thank God because I hated those tires! | |

| Good choice with the Toyos. That's what we put on the lifted Super Duties we do at work. No noise complaints yet, and the wear seems to be pretty good.
They're so popular, in fact, that the 35 x 12.5R18 were on backorder for a long time, and that's the size we put on almost all our lifted trucks (sometimes 20s, but not as often as I'd like).

| My new tires go on this week. Yippee!! Greez gave me this idea: Sell my old ones. They are two years old and have 16K miles on them. The two front are worn funny and have a hop but the two rears are fine. Even if I get $200 for all four is better than me paying the tire place $3 each to dispose of them. Is $200 good? More? Less?

| Yeah those TOYO's are a very nice tire. I plan on going with them when my BFG's wear out. I am going to step up to the 37x13.50x18 M/T's

| Richard, what width rim are you running? I have a 17 x 9 going from a 12.5 width to a 13.5 wide tire. I know the rim/tire specs are still okay, I was just wondering if the rim width affects anything. | |

| I am only running a 8-1/2" wide rim which is the minimum spec for that tire according to TOYO's site. The wider the rim the wider the tread is going to end up being. In other words the tire will be skinner with my wheel than it will be with your becasue you have .5 more width than me and for someone running a 10 wide wheel the tire will be even wider. Not sure why it does that exactly but that is what happens.

| to this day i feel horrible for telling you those parnelli's are a great tire christine. i know you don't like them.
i've been lucky, mine have done me well but today there are better options. when i make a change it will be bye bye parnelli's also and hello toyo. unless something else comes along by then.
regarding nitto grapplers. i recently drove a truck with some. although a great looking tire, there was to much road noise for my liking.

| Sadly the cooler a tire looks for off road the more it hums and sings.
Knobbies just dont work on pavement plus you have bad traction for all weather and conditions.
I sure do like the looks of them however.

| Brahmus, I thought about that, but I don't think I can make enough off the tire/rim set to compensate for new rims. It's about $1000+ for new rims and it's costing me $1176 for tires installed. All this in the same time I've had a root canal, truck registration and med bills . I can always save money later for rims or try for a sponsor then sell the rims after that.
Kenny, don't sweat it. I think those tires are better on bigger trucks because I've seen lots of bigger lifted trucks running them. I've talked to their owners and they never had problems. I think my truck was just too light for those tires. Something the tire place should have told me at the time. NOW I've talked to different tire places and they say the PJ's are a problem tire. |

| I had the new tires put on today. It's so weird, it's an entirely different truck. They rub just a tiny bit, but I'm not sure where exactly. The truck rides so smooth and I don't have any steering wheel shake. Worth every penny of the $1209 I paid. http://www.truckblog.com/gallery/RedRose/11652.JPG | |
