Got my color-matched Gaylord's X2000 in last Wednesday. This was from the group buy that 99XLTon20's helped arrange. $1200 to my door. This this is sweet, took about 2 hours to install, the lid is light enough I was able to put it on by myself and get everything tweaked. Awesome hinge system, and I didn't even expect it, but it comes with keyless entry! The receiver also has 3 unused channels, so I can add some remote start or whatever as well now.
Great deal, one of the best things I've bought for the truck in a while, now I just need a bedrug.

I've actually got enough marble tile left over from the other bathroom to do the bed with. I'm sure that would really help the gas mileage :) I thought about doing a wood bed floor, but I just use my truck too much like a truck for anything too fancy.
I'll put up some pics as soon as I wash the rig, and fix the cracked roll pan :)

I've got a 600sqft wood-shop with (mostly) industrial grade tools in it. I can turn unfinished rough lumber into $20/ft mouldings and much more. If I do a wood bed, it would be of my own design.

Anybody know where I can get the stainless hardware for a wood bed kit? I've been wanting a wood bed, but I want to make my own planks out of local aromatic cedar or black walnut.

Heh. Did you see my other thread about remodeling my master bath and bedroom :)
BTW, that Myrtle wood looks cool. I have a veneer vacuum-press now also. If that comes in a veneer I can make pieces custom molded to things like the "cup" around your door handles, etc.
