Ford Motor Company will begin exporting additional automotive products and transmission parts to China, thanks to agreements signed in Washington, D.C., today. The total value of the pact is estimated to be more than $800 million. In one of the company’s largest export agreements, Ford will sell more than 30,000 North American-built vehicles in China, starting in 2009. Ford also will begin supplying transmission components and parts this year to its passenger car joint venture in China – Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd.

It is no surprise to us here at Truckblog that electronics giant Apple would team up with companies like Ford and General Motors. All three of these companies are the biggest names in their respective markets and can build strong bonds working together.
Yesterday, on Apple's Website they announced that they have "teamed up with Ford Motor Company, General Motors and Mazda to deliver seamless iPod® integration across the majority of their brands and models, making it easy for iPod users to enjoy and control their iPod’s high-quality sound through their car’s stereo system. With the addition of these models, more than 70 percent of 2007-model US automobiles will offer iPod integration.
The Ford Claycomo assembly plant will not build the Mazda Tribute sport-utility vehicle for the 2007 model year, a Ford official said Tuesday. Mazda’s decision to suspend manufacture of the Tribute from May through the end of the year is not expected to affect production levels of Claycomo’s SUV line, which also produces Ford Escapes and Mercury Mariners, said George Pipas, Ford’s sales analyst.
