Camping World to be Title Sponsor for Nascar Truck Series

NASCAR on Thursday announced that Camping World will be the title sponsor for the Truck Series beginning in 2009. The seven-year agreement gives Camping World the exclusive rights to sponsor the series, which has built its reputation on very competitive and tough racing. Camping World will enjoy the support of the most brand-loyal fans in all of sports, including millions who annually attend races of the series, which features 25 points events at 23 tracks across North America. All NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races will be broadcast live on SPEED or FOX which will result in more than $100 million worth of exposure for the new title sponsor.

Big Win For Ford At Nascar Craftsman Truck Series Race In Daytona

If you follow NASCAR at all, this past weekend was one to remember, especially for Ford Motor Company. Erick Darnell, in the number 99 Northern Tool + Equipment Ford F-150, qualified for 1st place, taking the Keystone Light pole award at Daytona International Speedway, starting off the 2008 season with flying colors. The win was Darnell's second career pole in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Robby Gordon and Pilot H3 PrototypeHUMMER and Robby Gordon Motorsports have joined together to take on the Dakar Rally, widely considered to be the most grueling off-road race in the world due to its brutal terrain and extreme environmental conditions. Gordon will lead his Team Dakar USA from behind the wheel of a HUMMER H3 race truck. His relationship with HUMMER will also include driving an H3 in the 2006 Baja 1000 and Baja 500 desert races.

Kelderman, Goodyear and NASCAR's Kasey Kahne Team Up

Truck Builder, Jeff Kelderman, builds the final Goodyear Garage customized Dodge Ram truck for NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne which will be given away to a lucky fan in the upcoming weeks. To register for the truck, log into the Goodyear Garage website.

The Goodyear Garage is an online Auction house for NASCAR gear such as Autographed shoes, racing gloves, life-size stand-up poster, sheet metal and other racing memorabilia. Proceeds from the auction of these items will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House in addition to a $25,000 donation from Goodyear.

If you follow Nascar like half of America does, you might notice that Tyler Walker is now driving the #38 Great Clips Dodge for the Busch series. Yes, #38 has Kasey Kahne is behind the wheel for the Nextel Series but for this story we are focusing on Walker. Looking to get noticed, car owner Doug Stringer teamed up with Jeff Kelderman, of Kelderman Air Ride, to build a daily driver truck that would closely match the look of the #38 Dodge race car.
