Diesel performance is all about flow. Boost, fuel and especially the vehicles exhaust. That is why it is so important to keep your forced induction systems back pressure as low as possible. Low back pressure helps keep exhaust gas temperatures (EGT's) low and helps aid turbo performance and durability. This part is a great stand-alone as well as a complimentary up sell item to go with the Turbonetics bolt-on 7.3L Ceramic Ball Bearing upgrade turbo.

In efforts to protest gasoline and diesel fuel prices, a sign painter in Kentucky has hung up his paint brushes, and traded in his pickup truck for a new model horse. I don't know how he could possibly be saving money though, as the cost of oats for a horse are higher than the price of gas, at $84.61 for a 50 pound bag, according to Simply Natural. Oh well, at least homeboy made it on CNN. If you feel inclined to see the story on TV, you can view the video here.

Removing the heavy steel clutch fan from your 2003 to 2008 Cummins diesel equipped Dodge Ram, sounds like a strange way to make more horsepower and torque. Yet, Flex-A-Lite’s testing shows that significant performance can be gained this way, by reducing the load on the engine while improving on the cooling system for improved towing and fuel economy. – DrSpeed

Mudding anyone?

Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) is back in San Diego in a brand new Chula Vista International Raceway. This past weekend was the introduction of the new track to thousands of SoCal race fans and soon the world when the race is broadcast on NBC this July 29th. If those words make you crane your neck, looking for a monster truck flying through the air and crushing cars, then you were definitely at the Tacoma Dome for the Monster Jam this past weekend. The trucks were jamming around corners and flying over cars on a pre-determined track layout for the Monster Truck races. And later they had 90 seconds of time for the Monster Truck freestyle, where the trucks had free reign to do make the trucks pirouette through the air with the utmost grace, defying gravity, and even landing on their roofs!

Once thought to be a painful and expensive marketing tactic for an enthusiast site, F150Online.com and Ownersite Technologies owner Steve Eppinger found a way to do it right. For two years now Mr. Eppinger's online properties have been stamped on NASCAR trucks, and 2007 will be his third year of involvement. “Our partnership with Ownersite and F150online.com has been great for Ford enthusiasts and our race fans. It has also helped increase the visibility of our team and sponsors to their extensive membership network,” stated team owner Mike Mittler.
After we covered the CORR event last July in the 100 degree heat of Southern California, we knew we had to go back for more once things cooled down. Lucky for us, they had another event last month and the temps were about 20 degrees cooler. Once again we teamed up with Kevin Probst and his team from Probst Motorsports to cover another gnarly event. For this race Kevin was in pole position so we got even better coverage from our in-car cam before the mud shut us down. We've got 120 photos and a 4 minute video from our video guy Jason Coe that is a must see. Thanks again to Probst Motorsports for hookin' us up big time!
