In this episode of MOTORZ, Chris shows you how to install Hellwig anti-sway bars on a lifted pickup truck to improve cornering traction and cornering capabilities. Special appearance from David Wheeler at Hellwig Products!
Our blog over at the MOTORZ TV website has been updated again, this time with the announcement of several manufacturers who will be displaying our installation videos at the 2008 SEMA Show next month!
The 2008 SEMA Show is exactly one month away and the crew here at Truckblog are very excited to announce "Truckblog LIVE", live coverage of the 2008 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada! Here is a break down:
- Live blogging starts November 2nd and ends November 7th, straight from the SEMA Show itself in Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Check back hourly for updates! You can visit the truckblog.com home page or go to live.truckblog.com to check out the latest news during the show.
- Be sure to comment on a blog if you would like us to find more information about it.
- Our sister site, www.MuscleCarBlog.com, will also feature live blogging of all the hottest muscle car products.
The first set of updates to the MOTORZ website came on Wednesday, where we posted our 2008 Fall Schedule and some other goodies. Being the worker bee's that we are, we've got some more updates!
2) We’ve been getting such great feedback about MOTORZ TV on iTunes and via email lately, we thought it’s time to say “Thanks!” by putting them all up at the site. A reviews page has been set up with all of your feedback.
On the new MOTORZ website, we've added a blog for updates about MOTORZ and what we are doing, we posted the MOTORZ 2008 Fall Schedule similar to those at NBC, CBS, and ABC, we found a solution to the "Truckblog.TV" name conversion on Apple iTunes explained here, and have a preview photo of our next episode. Can you guess what it is?
Beginning earlier this year in May, Chris and I decided to try something original for Truckblog, something that had not been done before (or at least in a way that appealed to true automotive enthusiasts). That idea was called Truckblog.TV.
Truckblog.TV has grown into a huge success with 9 episodes under it's belt and much appreciation goes out to those who have provided us with feedback and support. Chris and I decided to push things further with our how-to videos and perform installations on other popular vehicles, not just trucks and sport utility vehicles. In doing so we decided to change the name from Truckblog.TV to MOTORZ.
MOTORZ has its own website, http://www.motorz.tv/, where you can catch all of the episodes (as well as on Truckblog), news about what's going on with MOTORZ, photo gallery, podcast links, and more.
Our popular Apple iTunes podcast is also the same, being re-branded as MOTORZ and if you have a current subscription to Truckblog.TV, everything will automatically change for you.
Stickers, stickers, stickers. If you've already requested a free Truckblog.TV sticker you will automatically receive a MOTORZ sticker by mail for free. If you have not got in on the sticker action yet (you know you want to), you can click here to get one.
Once again, thank you everyone for your support of what we're doing and we hope that you will stick around for future episodes of MOTORZ! ZOOT!
We already know you eat, sleep and dream Truckblog.TV all day long. You've downloaded our free podcast on Apple iTunes and recently checked out the addition of our Truckblog.TV HD (high definition) podcast as well and stored them all on your ipod, iPhone or iTouch. Truckblog.TV is everywhere in your life except one more place...besides the refrigerator...your pickup truck!
Now is your chance to grab your FREE Truckblog.TV sticker! There are no obligations, no memberships, nada! The sticker is a high quality white 9" vinyl sticker that reads:
Truckblog.TV
The DIY Show for Truck & SUV Owners
Click here to fill out the form and get your sticker. Don't miss out!
We like to stay very busy at Truckblog and always push the envelope to bring you more complete automotive coverage, integrate the latest technologies, and try new things. We've updated our website again starting with the Truckblog.TV videos section, added our new Truckblog.TV HD (high definition) podcast, as well as added support for your Apple iPhone!
Now you can enjoy all of our Truckblog.TV episodes in the Podcasts section of Apple iTunes! We've set up a free podcast to display our how-to videos, future events, and more. Throw them on your iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, or other portable devices and keep them for the road.
Attention Truckblog Readers! We are in need of a 2006 and newer, Ford F-150 pickup truck in the Southern California area, for an AMP Research BedStep product installation. You must be willing to drive to San Diego, CA for the install. Check out the BedStep product details inside.
As you've noticed the moment you logged onto our site this morning, Truckblog now features an updated layout and is now large and in charge. Some of the main enhancements of the site are an updated video player, static right bar menu system which is featured on every page for quick access to Live Chat, Active Topics, etc, and our new Truckblog TV spot on the home page (it also doesn't auto-start). The breakdown for all features is as follows:

Truckblog's blog commenting system was overhauled today, with the goal of simplifying and improving the process of commenting on our stories for a wider audience. Just head on over to Intense Debate to create an account by providing your desired username, your email address, and a password, and that's it. You'll be able to comment on our blogs, rate comments, and more. Plus, since it's a 3rd party service, hopefully more sites will use their commenting service so that you can use your same account across multiple sites.

As you can probably tell, we're in Vegas this week. We're covering the show and acting as professionally as we possibly can during the day. At night, well, all bets are off. Unless you're with our writer and photographer from New york, Mike (Tek).
Every year he wins more than anyone on our Truckblog Crew, and this year is no exception. Tuesday night he decided to share his luck with an innocent gambler who (probably also in her drunken stupor) decided to let Tek pull the handle on a giganto $1 slot machine.
Guess what turned up? Three sevens for $100. I snapped a photo and we told her to go check it out on Truckblog. So as to not make us look like big fat liars, here's the photo. Big money, big money!
We'll go ahead and coin it TruckTube, although it's basically a bunch of great YouTube videos all laid out for you Truckblog-style (and searchable too!)
We are proud to introduce YouTube videos here at Truckblog, and while we have added a bunch of suggested searches for you to use, you're welcome to use the provided search box to search for whatever you'd like! Check it out and let us know what you think!
It's that time once again, ghouls. Halloween is coming up fast and we thought it would help get you in the spirit by creating a few pumpkin stencils to carve out scary Truckblog designs! Happy carving!

Call it Tmail? Google has asked us to beta test their new hosted Gmail web mail service, a service they have just made available to a small number of domains today. It's just like Gmail, but Truckblog style! We are honored, and wish to extend an account to the members of Truckblog.
We've been quietly slavin' away on the latest new feature at Truckblog.com for a few months now. While many sites host videos by slapping the video on the page somewhere, we wanted to make sure we did it right the first time, and we think you'll like how it turned out (we sure do!) We've embedded the Windows Media Player right into the display of a head unit, added our own controls, and more! The videos section features videos of events, tech articles, humor, and slowly some members only videos are being added.
Being a veteran of several years worth of SEMA shows, I've seen every manufacturer big or small use some sort of unified look amongst their company attendees. If you're a manufacturer and happen to see someone with a big Truckblog logo on their back, please ask for information about our Product Guide - Truck Hownd and what it can do for your company!

Halloween is only nine days away and we thought it would help get you in the spirit by creating a few pumpkin stencils to carve out scary Truckblog designs! We'll have more to come, but today we present four designs to you. Happy carving!

Michael Schuerlein, known to many online as "teknics", has been an active member of the Truckblog photography crew (see his work in the recently posted 2005 New Jersey Truck Fest Event Photos). Since his past also includes being a published writer for a nationally distributed print magazine, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to get him involved with blogging. So, in addition to us seasoned veteran bloggers, you will start to see Michael's word wizardry come to life at Truckblog.com! He'll also bring a unique east coast perspective, which we have desperately needed. Welcome aboard, Tek!
Please note that with hurricane Rita, currently a category 5 hurricane, barreling straight to the Houston Texas area where our web server is located, Truckblog.com may be offline for hours or possibly days. Obviously we don't know how hard the Houston area will be hit by the hurricane, but our servers are located safely in a large data center with much protection and backup generators. Good luck to those in Rita's path, including Mike (one of Truckblog's editors) and all others that may be affected.
Always trying to beautify your desktop, Truckblog has released two new free desktop wallpapers for you to download. The first is an outstanding image of our very own Truckblog mod, Ashleigh, posing with one of our members' tricked out Ford F-150 Lightning. The second is one of the better looking H2 SUT's we have ever seen.

With a little free time on our hands and a new show coming up, we decided to crank out a couple new wallpaper images for your desktop. We have a ton more coming, but for now, we thought you might enjoy our Dodge and Chevy wallpapers.
Don't worry, we have more on the way and as usual, we saved the best for last.

Something big is coming to Truckblog this July. Invitations are going out to a select group of hardcore truck enthusiasts to check out the next generation of Truckblog... the next generation website for enthusiasts.
Over the next month you may start to see some changes to the website, and pardon the dust while we move things around a bit. If you think you're a hardcore Truckblog member already, you ain't seen nothing yet. Drop us a line to be notified when we're ready to go! –
Today marked a huge milestone for us. As mentioned yesterday, there are a lot of improvements coming to Truckblog.com. In order for us to begin those changes we needed to move Truckblog to a new web server.
Thanks to Bruce, our trusty web guru, for all his hard work in migrating our favorite site to a new server. It was a lot of work! If you notice anything not working properly (we know about the gallery problems), please let us know! –
One of our loyal readers asked for our help in getting the word out about survey they were doing. Project Responder is a volunteer fire-fighter truck that has been completely rebuilt after being in service for more than one and a half decades and after having more than a quarter of a million miles on the original factory motor and chassis.
Not to get too carried away, but the good folks at ProjectResponder.com are asking for your help in picking the design for their t-shirt. Use the link below to let them know what your favorite is and while you are there check out the extensive build process and the tons of sponsors this truck has. Look for a feature on this truck coming up soon.
A growing number of people are using the new Mozilla Firefox browser, and for good reason--it's a great alternate (or replacement) browser for Internet Explorer!
One of the great features of it is the ability to add search plug-ins. We stuck our webgod, Bruce, on it and he came up with one for Truckblog!
To add Truckblog Search to your Firefox browser, just visit this page. –
As you may already be aware, our resident web monkey (Bruce) worked late into the night to make some major changes to the blog. Some of the changes include, allowing for only partial articles to be viewed from the front page, the addition of permalinks, and making the ability to comment easier to understand.
Whenever you see a link at the bottom of an article (ie: Full Story... ) it means there is more information to thie story and you should click the link to continue.
Please take a moment to tell Bruce just how great of a web monkey he is by commenting on this thread!

Just drop us a note and tell us where we can find photos of your ride and we'll roll from there. Our features page is pretty naked!
