Honda recalls 2012 Pilot and Acura MDX over possible fuel leak issue

[ 0 ] February 29, 2012 |

Honda is issuing a recall for their 2012 Honda Pilot and 2012 Acura MDX crossover models. The recall is slated to begin mid March, and Honda is already in the process of notifying owners of potential problem vehicles.

The recall is being issued by the NHTSA because “the vent shut float valve cases in the fuel tank assemblies of these vehicles does not meet proper design specifications. Because of this, fuel could leak from the tank, increasing the risk of a fire.” Honda will obviously be repairing this issue to affected owners free of charge. If you have any questions and wish to contact Honda USA directly, you can call them at 1-888-327-4236 for further information regarding this issue.
