Chrysler is bringing natural gas trucks to the US
It has been tried many times by several different manufacturers, but it just never seemed to catch on. Well now Chrysler is going to give it a shot by bringing natural gas powered trucks to the states.
Starting some time in 2012 Chrysler plans to sell natural gas powered trucks to their fleet sector. There is no detailed number of how many, or where in the states the sales will be aimed at. Chrysler is betting on the knowledge Fiat already has with the natural gas powered vehicle segment that has seen some expansion in Europe. The main question here is, where will they be able to fuel up? The number of natural gas fueling locations is scant to say the least. It will be interesting to see if Chrysler has some sort of initiative to possibly jump start that segment in attempts to bring natural gas fueling stations to more consumers.
